I have been a classroom, learning and support, EAL/D and Visual Arts teacher. Also I am a practising artist. I am always looking for creative ways to stretch my classroom budget. My home is Sydney, Australia and I feel privileged to have been able to work full time in education. Here are some ideas I'd like to share with you. I would love you to follow my blog and share your thoughts also!

"Charcoal, photocopy, watercolour" Year 5
Try this really effective, inexpensive lesson. Using charcoal students sketch chosen image. We chose peacock feathers and interesting pots as our subject matter. When complete, photocopy each image three times and clean up the photocopier! Now the students have three clean images to collage onto a dark background. Students add a splash of watercolour so finished artwork has a hint of colour. My Year 5 students were very proud of their finished product and also had the original image to keep. Love this lesson!!!
