I have been a classroom, learning and support, EAL/D and Visual Arts teacher. Also I am a practising artist. I am always looking for creative ways to stretch my classroom budget. My home is Sydney, Australia and I feel privileged to have been able to work full time in education. Here are some ideas I'd like to share with you. I would love you to follow my blog and share your thoughts also!

Expressive lines with a dash of colour
These samples show how the students can explore the qualities of line inspired by the rainforest. Demonstrate the curved lines of the vines, structures lines of the ferns and tangled lines in the canopy using a black soft pastel. Add a dash of colour, allowing the colours to mix on the artwork itself. This activity is always successful and requires no elaborate preparation.
